Step 1 – Heating the emblem

Using a heat gun, gently heat the area around the OEM emblem.

The purpose of heating is to soften the factory adhesive, making the emblem easier to remove without damaging the paint or grille.

 ❗ Important notes:

• Do not overheat the surface

• Keep the heat gun moving at all times

• Use medium heat, never maximum

Once the adhesive is warm and flexible, the emblem can be safely removed in the next steps.

Step 2 – Releasing the emblem

After the adhesive has been softened with heat, use a plastic trim removal tool to gently start lifting the emblem.

Carefully insert the plastic spatula behind the edge of the emblem and apply light, controlled pressure until the adhesive begins to release.

 ❗ Important notes:

• Use plastic tools only (no metal tools)

• Work slowly and evenly around the emblem

• Do not force it if resistance is high, reapply heat

Step 3 – Assisting removal with thread (optional)

For easier and more controlled removal, a thin thread or fishing line can be used behind the emblem.

Carefully slide the thread behind the emblem and use a gentle sawing motion to cut through the softened adhesive.

This method helps release the emblem evenly and reduces stress on the paint and grille.

 Optional step:

If the emblem is already coming off easily using the plastic tool alone, this step can be skipped.

❗ Important notes:

• Use a non-metallic thread only

• Keep steady tension, do not pull abruptly

• Reapply heat if resistance increases

Step 4 – Surface cleaning & degreasing

After the OEM emblem has been removed, thoroughly clean and degrease the mounting surface.

Remove any remaining adhesive residue, dust, or contaminants to ensure a perfect bonding surface for the carbon emblem.

For the final degreasing step, use the alcohol pad included in the package.

Wipe the surface carefully and allow it to fully dry before proceeding.

❗ Important notes:

• The surface must be completely clean and dry

• Do not touch the area with bare hands after cleaning

• Proper surface preparation is critical for strong and long-lasting adhesion

Once the surface is clean and degreased, it is ready for the installation of the carbon emblem.
